On July 23rd Sussex Sport released a statement regarding the limited supply of hot water at the Sports Centre.
In the statement, Simon Tunley, Deputy Director of Sussex Sport, said that initial attempts to fix the problem revealed that the repairs will be a complex job and will take longer than anticipated.

Predicting a timeframe of 6-8 weeks, he said: "We apologise for the inconvenience; hot showers remain a bit of a luxury at the moment.
"Once Sussex Estates and Facilities (SEF) have fixed the problem, we'll have the hot water throughout the Sport Centre back in use as soon as we can."
Currently, the problem still remains at the Sports Centre, with only one of the changing rooms supplying a limited amount of hot water.
As there has been no information released since the statement, UNICISE spoke to Mark Beresford, Senior Duty Manager at Sussex Sport, who said that the problem remains ongoing.
He said: "Sussex Sport, again, apologises to all students who want to use the shower facilities at the Sports Centre.
"Unfortunately, it will be a few more weeks until the problem is fixed and because of the complex nature of the problem, I cannot give an exact date for completion.
"I'd like to remind students that there are other shower facilities on campus, including the Falmer Sports Complex, which has two shower rooms with running hot water."
Sussex Estates and Facilities (SEF) are responsible for the upkeep of facilities on campus, including gas and eletricity supplies.
A spokesman said: "We are working hard to fix the supply of hot water at the Sports Centre.
"The initial problem turned out to be far more complex than anticipated and we are hoping that we can return the hot water supply soon."
